What You’ll Do:
Ripley PR is looking for a proven, results-driven media relations professional to drive media pick up and feature stories about our clients. Our ideal candidate has a solid business acumen, creative vision, and the ability to see the big picture for our agency and each of our clients. Generating consistent trade and top-tier earned media exposure is a must for our agency and our clients.
As a Senior Media Relations Specialist, you must be able to/have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing media pitches for a variety of companies and industries including HVAC, construction, franchising, B2B Tech/SaaS, and manufacturing. Impressive portfolio of earned media clips is required.
- Proven ability to garner earned media opportunities in Tier 1 outlets including but not limited to national news, consumer and business publications.
- Demonstrate experience in garnering earned media in trade journals, business and mainstream media
- Create and maintain critical media relationships to enhance client and agency visibility
- Develop and execute media strategies that align with our clients’ goals, showcasing their thought leadership and technical advancements, etc.
- Ability to write clean and informative PR materials, including but not limited to press releases and media pitches
- Assist with crisis communications efforts and statements/media responses
- Ability to organize and manage press conferences, media events, and champion the company’s presence at trade shows
- Report on media activities, evaluating impact and adjusting strategies as necessary
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive client information
- Lead and participate in assigned client meetings and have the ability to consult C-suite
- Maintain records and generate reports as assigned
- Develop, plan and execute public relations tactics for assigned clients
- Coordinate, arrange and lead client interviews
- Stay up to date on emerging media and PR trends
- Demonstrate excellent grammar and strong knowledge of AP Style
