What You’ll Do:
Ripley PR is looking for an experienced account manager who will serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned group of clients in various industries. Our ideal candidate has several years of agency experience, a solid business acumen, creative vision, and the ability to see the big picture for our agency and each of our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as main point of contact for assigned clients, both retainer and project clients, and building effective relationships with multiple clients in various industries
- Manages team of specialists to ensure all work aligns with client goals, and deadlines are met for your assigned clients
- Developing media lists and pitching local, regional and national media with your proven ability to garner client interviews on a consistent, monthly basis
- Independently and collaboratively creating client PR and Marketing strategies that include measurable results
- Creating and executing public relations and marketing strategies for all assigned clients
- Researching, writing and editing dynamic PR and marketing related content; including but not limited to press releases, blogs, social media calendars, media pitches, media kits, and marketing collateral, on time and within approved budgets
- Consulting clients throughout crises and other difficult situations
- Creating or editing professional social media and blog calendars and posts with appropriate and approved images
- Creating and providing analysis for weekly or monthly reports, including clippings reports, status reports, website traffic, social media engagement, etc.
- Scheduling and chairing regular recurring client meetings; consulting C-suite executives and addressing issues
- Maintaining agency time sheets on a daily basis
- Stay on top of business best practices and provide insights to improve campaigns
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field
- 5+ years of related and documented experience
- Experience writing about B2B, franchise, skilled trades and manufacturing. Knowledge of environmental organizations, animal welfare or plant-based products is a plus.
- First-class interpersonal skills
- Works well collaborating as a team and working independently
- Highly organized
- Works well under pressure and can lead and motivate others
- Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in PC, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, WordPress and content management systems

- Full-time, On Location in Maryville, Tennessee. (This is not a remote position.)
